據(jù)歐盟食品安全局（EFSA）消息，歐盟食品安全局就甲酸鈣作為動(dòng)物飼料添加劑的安全性與效能發(fā)布了意見。

    目前歐盟已批準(zhǔn)甲酸鈣作為防腐劑用于動(dòng)物飼料，然而并未獲準(zhǔn)為食品添加劑。有關(guān)文獻(xiàn)資料證實(shí)，甲酸鈣按照最大使用量（15000 mg甲酸鈣/kg成品飼料或10000mg甲酸/kg 成品飼料）用于育肥雞與育肥牛時(shí)，不會(huì)對(duì)動(dòng)物健康產(chǎn)生影響。

    This opinion concerns the re-evaluation of calcium formate for use as a preservative in feed for all animal species and categories. Calcium formate is currently authorised for use as a preservative in feed for all animal species, but is not authorised as a food additive in the EU. Considering the results of the tolerance studies with chickens for fattening and cattle for fattening, and other published studies, no adverse effects on target animals safety are anticipated when calcium formate is used at the maximum proposed dose in feed for pigs, poultry, fish and ruminants （15 000 mg calcium formate/kg complete feed, equivalent to 10 000 mg formic acid/kg complete feed）。 However, no margin of safety can be established.
